This French mid-century sculptural floor lamp is very unique, it stands 52 1/4" high made of hand-cut, hand-applied bamboo, ebonized then polished and wood. The intricately designed resin shade with complimentary colors in red, beige and black. Looks fabulous when illuminated at night and also serves as an art piece during the day!
A unique alternative to a reading lamp, would look wonderful next to a sofa or lounge chair. Place it in a home office for extra lighting near accent chairs or anywhere extra soft lighting is desired. Will enhance any space.
The lamp bears the designers name on the stamped plaque and indicates the location where it was made Vallauris, France.
Medaglini (1939-2011) was not only a sculptor but most notably a painter. He lived and worked in the south of France for many years. Little else is known about this talented artist.
A medium LED bulb is best to protect the resin shade as it will not get hot. Will enhance any contemporary or modern setting.

Every piece ships from our warehouse in Miami. Furniture travels white-glove with BMC International Freight, room of choice, subject to the carrier’s access at your address. Freight transit is typically 7–14 business days; we contact you to arrange a delivery window. Smaller pieces travel insured by ground courier.
International
We ship worldwide, quoted case by case. Tell us the piece and the destination and we will price crating, freight, insurance and customs handling for you.
Packing
Packed by hand. Fragile items are double-boxed with custom foam inserts. Glass and detachable elements are removed, packed separately and reassembled on arrival.
If something arrives damaged
Photograph the packaging and the piece before unpacking further, and contact us within 48 hours. We handle all freight claims directly and will arrange a resolution.
Returns
One day from delivery for a change of mind — buyer pays shipping and a 15% restocking fee. If the fault is ours, none of that applies: 7 days, full refund including your original shipping, we pay the return freight, no restocking fee. See our refund policy.
Notes on this piece
- Antique lighting. Sold as a decorative object. Where a piece has been rewired we say so in the description. Any antique lighting should be inspected and installed by a licensed electrician before use.
