Wood & Son was established in 1865 by Absalom Wood and his son T.F. Wood in Burslem, part of the Staffordshire Potteries district. The firm expanded through the late 19th century and traded as Wood & Sons from around 1907, incorporating as Wood & Sons Ltd in 1910.

By the early 20th century the company employed roughly 1,000 people producing middle-market earthenware. Frederick Rhead was named art director in 1912.

Every piece ships from our warehouse in Miami. Furniture travels white-glove with BMC International Freight, room of choice, subject to the carrier’s access at your address. Photograph the packaging and the piece before unpacking further, and contact us within 48 hours. We handle all freight claims directly and will arrange a resolution.
