Caroline Burnett (1877-1950) was an American-born artist who studied in Paris towards the earlier part of her career; she was known for her Impressionist street scenes of Paris. Her painting style reflected the contemporary movement that was occurring in France during her time there. She was a member of the Societe de Beaux-Arts in Paris, where she exhibited her works in 1898. Using both light and shadow with skill and precision, she painted cityscapes showing each season in Paris.

Caroline C. Burnett was an American-born painter, active from the late 19th into the early 20th century, best known for Impressionist oil paintings of Paris street scenes. She was a member of the Société des Beaux-Arts in Paris and exhibited with the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1898.
Her paintings depict Parisian cityscapes and landmarks, rendered with thick impasto brushwork and a soft, high-key palette.
Variations in how the signature appears across surviving paintings have led some sources to question whether "Caroline Burnett" represents a single painter or more than one hand.

Photograph the packaging and the piece before unpacking further, and contact us within 48 hours. We handle all freight claims directly and will arrange a resolution.
