These mid-century modern, 1950s-1960s originals feature two conical glass shades mounted on an asymmetrical curved double brass structure with charming ruby red lucite points, brass body.
They measure 27.94 cm / 11 inches High,

approximately 8.255 cm / 3 1/8 inches
Very good vintage condition, no chips or cracks on the glass globes.
There is one fitting each for candelabra size screw bulbs to illuminate. The lights have been rewired the French bayonet bulb fittings have not been replaced, easily converts to select destination. Sold As Is.
Together with companies like Disderot, Lunel and Rispal, the Paris based firm Arlus was at the forefront of the avant-garde of French lighting design during the 1950s and 1960s. The unusual designs combined quintessential French elegance and were obviously rooted in the French Art Deco tradition on the one hand and the desire to counteract the influence of the famous Italian design houses like Stilnovo and Arredoluce.

Arlus was a French lighting manufacturer based in Paris, active primarily from the 1950s through the 1970s, working in an Art Deco-influenced mid-century modern idiom. Pieces were made in brass, opaline glass, and black lacquered metal, spanning sconces, chandeliers, and table lamps.
Period pieces are associated, through design collaboration or attribution, with designers including Jacques Biny, Pierre Guariche, and Michel Buffet.
Founding details circulated by retail dealer sites do not trace to a museum or scholarly source and are not repeated here as fact.

Packing
Packed by hand. Fragile items are double-boxed with custom foam inserts. Glass and detachable elements are removed, packed separately and reassembled on arrival.
If something arrives damaged
Photograph the packaging and the piece before unpacking further, and contact us within 48 hours. We handle all freight claims directly and will arrange a resolution.
Returns
One day from delivery for a change of mind — buyer pays shipping and a 15% restocking fee. If the fault is ours, none of that applies: 7 days, full refund including your original shipping, we pay the return freight, no restocking fee. See our refund policy.
