This piece is offered in the manner of Marcel Giraud. What follows is about the maker whose work it follows, not a statement that it left their hand.
Marcel Giraud was born in 1937 in Vallauris, France, and left school at thirteen to apprentice as a potter in the workshop of Blaise Rubino. He went on to work in several other Vallauris workshops before opening his own studio in 1960, initially producing utilitarian ware signed "Cardelle" before signing later work under his own name.
From 1975 Giraud expanded into painting and sculpture, and from the early 1990s focused on unique pieces drawing on mythological and animal subjects. He remained based in Vallauris throughout his career and was involved in organizing the town's pottery biennales.

Freight transit is typically 7–14 business days; we contact you to arrange a delivery window. Smaller pieces travel insured by ground courier.

Packing
Packed by hand. Fragile items are double-boxed with custom foam inserts. Glass and detachable elements are removed, packed separately and reassembled on arrival.
If something arrives damaged
Photograph the packaging and the piece before unpacking further, and contact us within 48 hours. We handle all freight claims directly and will arrange a resolution.
Returns
One day from delivery for a change of mind — buyer pays shipping and a 15% restocking fee. If the fault is ours, none of that applies: 7 days, full refund including your original shipping, we pay the return freight, no restocking fee. See our refund policy.
