Mid-Century French Majolica Fish Service by Sarreguemines, Circa 1950s — 14 Pieces

A striking Mid-Century French majolica (faïence) fish service, marked Sarreguemines France, dating to the 1950s.  Each piece is heavily potted with deep yellow-ochre glazed earthenware bodies and contrasting dark brown rolled rims, the versos finished with a subtle iridescent luster glaze. Fine incised detailing highlights the naturalistic fish motifs characteristic of post-war French tableware.
