About The Artist:

Heidi Melano is a world renowned artist.

She was a French Post War & Contemporary artist born in 1929 in Geneva, Switzerland. Executed works of mosaic including that of the impressive Fernand Leger Museum that was located in Biot, France. She was one of the most important French Mosaist, having collaborated with Leger, Chagall, Braque, Modigliani, to name a few. She also created many varied paintings and drawings.

Heidi Melano was a French artist who studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva and worked primarily as a mosaicist. From the 1970s she worked alongside her husband Lino Melano, producing mosaic interpretations of works by artists including Fernand Léger and Georges Braque.

In 1987 she was commissioned to create two monumental mosaics for the exterior of the Musée National Fernand Léger in Biot, France. She continued to produce her own independent work into her later years.
