The Sarreguemines pottery manufactory in Lorraine was founded in 1790 by brothers Jacobi and Joseph Fabry. Additional factories were built at Digoin and Vitry-le-François after the Franco-Prussian War, and after the 1871 annexation of Moselle to Germany the founding family relocated management to Paris.

The firm split into separate French and German entities in 1913, then reunified after World War I as Sarreguemines-Digoin-Vitry-le-François, later passing to the Lunéville-Badonviller-Saint-Clément group in 1978.
