Hélène Girod de l'Ain (born Hélène Golendorf) was a French painter born in Paris in 1926 and active through her death in 1989. She trained at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris and began her career as a graphic designer for Parisian magazines before turning to painting full-time.

She worked in abstraction, producing canvases and mixed-media collages combining paper, fabric, wood, and metal, particularly active during the 1950s and 1960s.

Every piece ships from our warehouse in Miami. Furniture travels white-glove with BMC International Freight, room of choice, subject to the carrier’s access at your address. Photograph the packaging and the piece before unpacking further, and contact us within 48 hours. We handle all freight claims directly and will arrange a resolution.
