The firing process reveals the multiple layers below the multicolored glaze in a way which suggests lava or glaciers. Will enhance the look of any table or counter top. Measures: 10 1/4" diameter x 3 1/4" high.

This piece is offered in the manner of Charles Cart. What follows is about the maker whose work it follows, not a statement that it left their hand.
Charles Cart reinvented himself as a potter in Annecy, France, during the 1950s, reportedly after starting his working life as a scrap merchant. He developed his glazing technique by consulting chemists on how to deliberately "spoil" glazes to produce textured effects.
He registered his pottery in 1961 as La Poterie d'Annecy, renamed in 1963 as Le Cyclope, Émaux des Glaciers, Émaux des Neiges. His "Cyclope" line, in lava-effect glazes, is characterized by volcanic-looking craters formed during firing.

Every piece ships from our warehouse in Miami. Furniture travels white-glove with BMC International Freight, room of choice, subject to the carrier’s access at your address. Freight transit is typically 7–14 business days; we contact you to arrange a delivery window. Smaller pieces travel insured by ground courier.

Packing
Packed by hand. Fragile items are double-boxed with custom foam inserts. Glass and detachable elements are removed, packed separately and reassembled on arrival.
If something arrives damaged
Photograph the packaging and the piece before unpacking further, and contact us within 48 hours. We handle all freight claims directly and will arrange a resolution.
Returns
One day from delivery for a change of mind — buyer pays shipping and a 15% restocking fee. If the fault is ours, none of that applies: 7 days, full refund including your original shipping, we pay the return freight, no restocking fee. See our refund policy.
