French Ceramic Pitcher by Anduze Pottery School
Beautiful hand-crafted mid-20th century dark blue handled vase or pitcher from Anduze, France. This striking decorative object features a deep, rich blue glaze (distinctly blue, not black) and is in excellent vintage condition. Its timeless form and versatile color make it a perfect accent for a table, countertop, or shelf, blending effortlessly with a wide range of interiors.
Stamped Atelier Les Cyclades, Anduze (some letters gently faded with age, consistent with its authenticity). Les Cyclades was founded by Roland Zobel, a French ceramist trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Bourges and the International Ceramic School of Faenza in Italy. His work draws inspiration from the mythological and Mediterranean worlds, blending tradition with modern artistry.
The pottery tradition of Anduze dates back to the 16th century, when local artisans were first inspired by Florentine Medici vases. This piece reflects that centuries-old legacy while embodying the mid-century revival of artisanal ceramics in southern France.

Atelier Les Cyclades was the ceramics workshop of French potter Roland Zobel (1915–2006), founded in the Anduze/Générargues area of the Gard region in southern France. Zobel studied at the School of Fine Arts in Bourges and the International School of Ceramics in Faenza, Italy, before establishing his own workshop.
The workshop's output, produced from the 1950s through the 1970s, drew on a decorative bestiary inspired by Mediterranean mythology. Pieces are typically signed "Les Cyclades Anduze" or "Zobel Les Cyclades."

Every piece ships from our warehouse in Miami. Furniture travels white-glove with BMC International Freight, room of choice, subject to the carrier’s access at your address. Freight transit is typically 7–14 business days; we contact you to arrange a delivery window. Smaller pieces travel insured by ground courier.
International
We ship worldwide, quoted case by case. Tell us the piece and the destination and we will price crating, freight, insurance and customs handling for you.
Packing
Packed by hand. Fragile items are double-boxed with custom foam inserts. Glass and detachable elements are removed, packed separately and reassembled on arrival.
If something arrives damaged
Photograph the packaging and the piece before unpacking further, and contact us within 48 hours. We handle all freight claims directly and will arrange a resolution.
Returns
One day from delivery for a change of mind — buyer pays shipping and a 15% restocking fee. If the fault is ours, none of that applies: 7 days, full refund including your original shipping, we pay the return freight, no restocking fee. See our refund policy.
