Metallic (gold/platinum) glaze effects on stoneware

Lucien Brisdoux (1878–1963) took over his father Achille Brisdoux's pottery manufacture in 1905 at Bonny-sur-Loire, in the Loiret. In 1918 he purchased a pottery called La Poterie Neuve in Saint-Amand and established his own workshop there.

Brisdoux focused on decorative stoneware and is particularly known for his work with metal-oxide glazes, creating flowing metallic (gold or platinum) effects using a creosote-projection technique.
